How to Have Children in Stardew Valley<\/em><\/h2>

First, you\u2019ll need to be married to one of the many eligible villagers in town. You can marry anyone you\u2019d like; your choice won\u2019t impact your ability to have children. Once you\u2019ve tied the knot, you\u2019ll also need to buy the second upgrade for your farmhouse. This requires 65,000g and 100 pieces of Hardwood, which you can get from the large stumps littering your farm.
After you’ve been married for at least seven days and have a 10-heart relationship with your spouse, all you have to do is wait. Every night, when you go to bed, there\u2019s about a 5% chance they’ll ask you about having children. You can then answer \u201cyes\u201d or \u201cno\u201d to having one.<\/p>

Keep in mind this will only trigger if you have the crib in your farmhouse. If you accidentally remove the crib, you can always restore it at Robin’s shop under the “Make House Renovations” option. You can have a maximum of two children at any given time in Stardew Valley<\/em>, but if you change your mind about having them, you can remove your children from your playthrough.<\/p>

In order to remove your children in Stardew Valley<\/em> you\u2019ll need access to the Witch\u2019s Hut. You can unlock this by completing a quest for the Wizard, and only after restoring the community center. You can then use the Dark Shrine of Selfishness to dismiss your children for the cost of one Prismatic Shard. Be careful: you can’t reverse this decision! Your spouse, however, may ask you to have children again.<\/p>
